ATLANTIC

AVENUE STATION

REHABILITATION

Brooklyn, NY

PROJECT SCOPE

Touching every aspect of New York City Transit’s history (IRT, BMT, IND lines) and Long Island Rail Road’s terminal station in Brooklyn, DGA completed this 13-year, $133M effort, from headhouse to platforms.  NYCT standard luminaires were configured to acknowledge the stations’ architectural expressions; and a custom platform lighting (normal and emergency) system created for the LIRR station that also incorporates signage in a multipurpose, energy efficient and maintainable enclosure.
