PROJECT SCOPE
Eight years, $28.5M modernization and restoration of this 1935 landmark Neo-Classical station by McKim Mead & White included the relighting of public concourse areas, pedestrian bridges, main waiting room, outdoor bus lanes, rail platform access stairs, public rest rooms, customer service facilities, ticketing offices and floodlighting of historic exterior facades. Our efforts in the main waiting rooms and public concourse areas focused on the upgrading of lighting levels along with the refurbishment of historic luminaires with contemporary energy efficient lighting technologies.
