PROJECT SCOPE

As the lighting designers for four of NYCT’s five Design-Build (and very fast track) Enhanced Station Initiatives “packages” comprising 15 stations, DGA developed a family of custom fabricated luminaires and integrated wireway systems to address station conditions from street entrances to mezzanines to stairs to platforms.

Design documentation included layouts, calculations and extensive fixture, mounting and routing details to enforce the critical “visual quality” mandates of the project and assist the Design-Builders with the most cost and time efficient approaches.

DGA’s support of this effort continued with our involvement throughout construction; conducting prototype reviews, in situ mockups and lighting level setting via the modified DALI controls systems, intended to assure maintenance of required lighting levels over an extended period of time.
